Patrick has lived in Sebastopol since 1997 in a downtown vintage home he and his wife restored.  He is a licensed architect specializing in local residential and small commercial projects that adhere to the City’s values of energy efficiency, smart reuse of existing buildings and the view that good design is sustainable design.

Patrick served a term as Sebastopol City Mayor in 2015 and 2018 and recently served a third term as the Mayor of the City of Sebastopol for 2020.
He has served on the Sebastopol Planning Commission and Sebastopol Business Outreach Committee as well as being a founding member of BikeWalk Sebastopol and the Sebastopol Entrepreneur’s Project.  He is a business member of the Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition, sitting on their Advisory Board, and volunteers with PALS (Pets Are Loving Support) with his social therapy dog and is the chair of the Sebastopol Affiliate of the national nonprofit housing assistance organization, Rebuilding Together.

Patrick served in the United States Air Force as a radar air traffic controller from 1984 to 1988 and was stationed in Mississippi, New Mexico and South Korea. Following his honorable discharge, he earned a Bachelor of Architecture Degree and an English minor from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, graduating in 1996.

Patrick enjoys woodworking, homebuilding, cooking and baking, bicycling, motorcycling, sports cars and spending time with his wife and two dogs.
